From the very beginning of our existence, we’ve always believed that the garments you wear should be part of an ecologically and ethically driven life. For us it is essential to be supporting brands and businesses that strive for a positive impact, who prioritize doing good for others at the core of their mission, and who support communities that are shaping the way people connect with each other and nature.

These are all our core values and part of our ethos. We aspire to change even the smallest daily habits in a way that helps us preserve our dear home planet, and encourage everyone to do so. Our clothing is made with great ethical awareness, designed with empowering intention, and with the aim to leave a lighter footprint behind.

Our designs are designed in Finland and crafted with love and joy in Bali by talented local artisans. We’ve built and sustained intimate, years long relationships with the tailor families we work with - they’re part of our extended VALO family.

We ensure fair pay, healthy and comfortable working conditions, and respect for every person involved in our process. By supporting local craftsmanship, we help to create opportunities, stability and safety - We are a family working together and caring for each other's needs also on a personal level not only in business.

We believe in creating clothing that feels amazing on your skin while being good for the Earth as well. That’s why we choose and use only natural, eco-friendly materials - made to last, well breathing, soft and comfortable materials that are a harmonious match to your human body.

Wearing natural, high quality fabrics on your skin will allow your skin to breathe well and release and absorb moisture naturally. Your body will thank you when you make the natural choice, free from synthetic, hormone disrupting materials unlike most of the fast-fashion industry that uses these chemically and artificially created, often plastic derived materials, that harm both the body and planet. We believe that the natural frequencies of mother nature’s materials are the best choice for uplifting the human spirit!

Our Fabrics – Naturally Better

We choose and hand pick all the fabrics we use in our designs with great intention –- comfort, durability, ecological impact, and for the unique vibration they carry. Here’s why we love them:

Cotton & Organic Cotton – Soft on You, Gentle on the Earth

We currently use both 100% cotton and 100% organic cotton in our designs, and we aim to choose and source as much of certified organic cotton from our suppliers as possible.

Organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, protecting the soil, the farmers, and your skin. It’s soft, breathable, and long-lasting - a natural choice for conscious comfort. Compared to conventional cotton, it uses significantly less water and energy, helping preserve our planet’s most vital resources.

Bamboo – Naturally Cool and antibacterial

Bamboo is one of nature’s most renewable materials, growing quickly without pesticides or excessive water. As a fabric it is silky soft, antibacterial, and moisture-wicking — keeping you fresh and comfortable through any adventure. Great for active days, travel and hot summer fiestas! Wearing bamboo feels like a second skin - it’s natural, light, and kind to the Earth.

Tencel – The Future of Sustainable Luxury

Made from sustainably sourced wood pulp, Tencel is produced in a closed-loop process that reuses nearly all water and solvents. Similar to bamboo it’s smooth, breathable, and strong - combining luxurious feeling with environmental consciousness. Tencel is an innovative fabric that honors nature, and that’s why we love it!

Linen – The Original Eco Classic

Woven from the flax plant, linen is one of the oldest and most sustainable materials on Earth. It needs very little water and no chemicals to grow, and every part of the plant is used — nothing wasted.

Linen breathes beautifully, keeps you cool, and softens over time — a true companion for life. The vibrational frequency of linen is exceptionally high, 5000Hz and therefore it is a great choice for holistic health as it supports our bodies with feelings of balance, vitality, and a sense of well-being.

We produce in small batches, minimize waste, and choose partners who share our values of mindful living and respect.
